I can testify to the yummieness of the cookies after sampling one (ok, a few) at the weekend. Oink oink!

    Scone recipe here http://www.deliaonline.com/recipes/cuisine/european/english/buttermilk-scones-with-west-country-clotted-cream-and-raspberry-butter.html
Important stuff – don’t try to do without the buttermilk. Although you can make scones without it, I think it’s what makes this recipe special. Also, do use a palette knife – if you don’t have one, use a round bladed ordinary knife. I think this helps to keep it all light, rather than wading in with the hands straight away and playing mud pies. Also, cut the butter up into little pieces before you start. Also make sure you grease and flour the tray. Also, keep an eye on the time in the oven and remember to adjust if yours is a fan. Also, enjoy!! Who says yer mam’s not a control freak :)

First lot – well at least you could laugh! Second lot – where’s mine :) Well done – I can give you an excellent recipe for scones if you like – even I can make them!

That must have been such a treat, on so many levels. What a kind guy! Happy happy indeed.

Wow! These look really fabulous. The hydrangea – love the colour – will need to be kept well watered (the clue is in the name). Don’t think I’ve seen Broadway Lights before, but I love them to bits! How could you not smile when you look at all these happy faces :)
  • I can crochet!
Hey I love the bag! Glad you got it sorted out in the end – now the crochet world is your oyster. Good for you!
